The Backyardigans: Join the Adventurers Club

It is hard to find some of the DVD's of the Backyardigans we had already purchased everything that was at the local stores. This purchase was for my daughter's 4th birthday party and we were trying to purchase all the episodes since she loved them so and before each DVD you know they are always pitching a new one, so this was perfect. It arrived quickly and there were no problems with this purchased.

My family enjoy Backyardigans very much. I politely disagree with the reviewer who wrote these cartoons teach nothing. I find the characters exhibit a high standard of ethical behavior and excellent good manners, especially in this world of vulgarity, bad manners and poor treatment of other people.

Flower Power is pretty impressive as regards a 30 minute story: characters introduced, super powers obtained, quick training session, powers used for good, enter supervillian, villian thwarted, superhero captured, escape, showdown, and obligatory end-of-story conversion to good (with costume change) by supervillian. Also, I must say, Austin's greek dance moves as the Gloommeister are something to behold.

Four episodes: "Follow the Feather, Dragon Express, The Funnyman Boogeyman, and Flower Power."My children (age 11 & 9) still like the music and have fond preschool memories of this series. Liked music extra in Special Features.

Backyardigans are so difficult to find...! This was a great find.

We love all of the Backyardigans videos (some more than others, of course). This is a great series for young kids. And enjoyable and clever enough that the parent can be entertained while watching with their child.
