My existing curtains were room darkening, not blackout. My living room is southwest-facing, so it’s bright and retains heat. These liners really helped with keeping the room darker when I watch movies and brings down the temperature when it gets warm out. I am thinking of buying more for my kitchen. I had to buy extra curtain rings. My curtains are grommet, and I found that without the extra rings, the liners sagged a bit.
