Review: Make your bike safer in 10 minutes for 20 bucks ! - Got tired of the weak beep beep on my Janus Halcyon 450. There was no way anyone could hear it in traffic so I started researching other options. I've put the larger air horns on other bikes but I really didn't want to go the extra wiring and relay route it take on those higher amperage horns. Hella has always made quality products and this horn is no exception. It's well made, much larger than my stock horn and mounts in the same spot with the stock bolt. The stock connectors fit snugly and require no special polarity on a single horn. The Hella draws about 3.5 amps and will work with most small gauge wiring used on most motorcycle horns without worry of melting wiring. It's not as loud as the larger horns that draw much more power and require a relay, but its way louder than my stock horn. I was very pleased with the results and it was a worthy upgrade for very little cash and effort.
Review: LOUD. High quality. KLR650 replacement with mods. - Purchased as a replacement for my KLR650 horn that's sounding a little tweety and thin. Not a direct swap, this new horn is a little thicker and the threaded mounting shaft is too short so it won't go in the OEM mounting location, but I was able to bend the included mounting tab 90 degrees and there's a mounting screw in the frame next to the stock position, fit in perfectly. Sits about 3/4" higher than stock, wiring terminals are the same as stock, they slipped right on. Oh man, is this thing loud. I might have to put a piece of cardboard or plastic over the top of it to focus the sound forward and away from my ears so I don't startle myself. Seriously, easily twice as loud as the OEM and a thicker, punchier sound. HELLA quality, hella good, hella loud.

**Q: Will hella 002768821 24v horns to a dc36v/48v battery using a dc24v20a 480w step down transformer be the correct amps and watts for these horns?**
A: Transformers only work with AC not DC.  You could use a voltage regulator or a series resistor to reduce the applied voltage to 24V.  Or, with 48 volts DC you could just wire them in series so that they each get only 24 volts.  The current (amps) will take care of itself (I=V/R), about 5 Amps, I'm told.

**Q: Which prong is power and which is ground?**
A: Does not matter..no polarity.

**Q: Will this fit a 2016 subaru legacy?  please only yes or no.  no shoulds.**
A: This isn't a yes/no question. It'll fit any car so long as you can find a proper place on the frame to mount them. Mine came with only one high-tone horn. I had to find a place to mount the second. Look at videos of others doing it. You may need to drill, and you'll need to run one wire only as the negative runs through the frame.

**Q: why are there two ? can i just install one?**
A: Some vehicles are outfitted with two of these, like my SUV.  Yes, you could install just one, but I find myself wondering why you don't just by a single horn?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Obnoxiously Loud! But that’s a good thing!

My horn went out on the GSXR. This was my first replacement purchase and it was a great choice. This thing is loud, but I guess it would be for a motorcycle. Cars move now when I hit the horn. Super simple to install; it took me 5 minutes. The one problem I had was that the connectors( two metal slits) were a little far apart and I had to spike my two connectors apart. No biggie though. It is an old bike so I didn’t care, but for a new bike I wouldn’t have been so willing to do this. Other than that, it’s a great horn for the price.
