It is totally flat. However it is very shiny and sparkly. It is very lightweight, and does not twist or pinch. I have worn mine for about a month now, continuously, in the pool, in the shower. And it is still shiny silver. It has not tarnished, or turned my ankle green. And it seems quite sturdy. For the price, I am very happy how it has held up so far. It arrived quickly, and nicely packaged.
