The SmashLock quick-release mechanism allows you to quick deploy the telescoping pole and lock it into place with an easy-to-hear click (keep the FlickLock Pro closed during deployment). Then, with the FlickLock Pro open, swiftly and firmly press the tip of the pole into the trail to release the SmashLock for a quick collapse. The pole’s Control Shock is located within the grip and provides progressive four-stage shock absorption with smooth rebound control on even the most rugged trails. The dual-density grip has been updated with a softer rubber and smoother, more comfortable design, while the new solution strap draws inspiration from our harness technology for better security around the wrist and better handling when tackling steep terrain. The redesigned FlickLock Pro adjustability is now lighter, stronger, and easier to use, while featuring a forged aluminum construction. Interchangeable carbide tech tips offer secure bite on everything from granite slabs to pine duff. Review: satisfied shopping experience - As described in the product great Review: Sturdy & comfortable - I'm a 115kg female hiker. I was looking for a pair of hiking poles that can take a significant portion of my weight (esp. going downhill) as well as aid with stability. I took these on a 4 day hike through a range of terrain from rocks/loamy soil to mud, slippery moss etc. Each day was 5+ hours with the longest being 9 hours. There were many parts of the track where these poles were essential for navigating some treacherous drops. They felt very sturdy under my weight & the shock absorption was good. The straps are comfortable & soft. I had the beginnings of blistering after a long day of downhill/bearing but the subsequent days this did not worsen. They're also pretty light and fold down easily for the parts of the track where I just needed to scramble. I gave it 4 stars since I can't possibly know the longevity of their quality until I've used them longer term. ## Features - SmashLock quick Release technology for quick deployment and collapsibility - New FlickLock Pro adjustability—now featuring aluminum construction that’s lighter and easier to use - Updated soft-foam grip with solution strap for added security and better handling ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07KXYR43D | | Base Material | Aluminum | | Best Sellers Rank | #174,869 in Sporting Goods ( See Top 100 in Sporting Goods ) #273 in Trekking Poles | | Brand | Black Diamond | | Brand Name | Black Diamond | | Color | Granite | | Colour | Granite | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 303 Reviews | | Extended Length | 54 Inches | | Extended length | 54 Inches | | Folded Size | 105 centimeters | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00793661400998 | | Handle Material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate | | Handle material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate | | Included Components | Poles (Pair) | | Item Type Name | Hiking Bags & Packs | | Item Weight | 486 Grams | | Lock Type | Flick | | Manufacturer | Black Diamond | | Manufacturer Part Number | BD1125021007ALL1 | | Material | Aluminum | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Maximum Height Recommendation | 54 Inches | | Model Number | BD1125021007ALL1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Shaft Material | Aluminum | | Shaft material | Aluminum | | Size | 105-140 cm | | UPC | 793661400998 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Black Diamond - **Colour:** Granite - **Extended length:** 54 Inches - **Material:** Aluminum - **Shaft material:** Aluminum ## Images ![Black Diamond Trail Pro Shock Trek Walking Poles - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/513urlqHspL.jpg) ![Black Diamond Trail Pro Shock Trek Walking Poles - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91+atTiUp9L.jpg) ![Black Diamond Trail Pro Shock Trek Walking Poles - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81YLo8hmlJL.jpg) ![Black Diamond Trail Pro Shock Trek Walking Poles - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41lUimJQJJL.jpg) ![Black Diamond Trail Pro Shock Trek Walking Poles - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81t7vmEnTrL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the benefit of the foam grip over cork?** A: Premium EVA foam is lightweight, durable, and provides non-slip comfort. **Q: Are these trekking poles sold as a pair?** A: Yes, all Black Diamond Trail Cork poles include two poles. **Q: Do these poles fit inside a standard hiking backpack?** A: The three-section design collapses small enough for most technical packs. **Q: Can I change the tips for different trail surfaces?** A: Yes, included interchangeable carbide tech tips provide precise mountain traction. **Q: Is the wrist strap adjustable for different glove sizes?** A: Yes, the 360-degree padded strap adjusts for secure year-round comfort. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ satisfied shopping experience *by L***U on 3 July 2020* As described in the product great ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy & comfortable *by L***W on 16 December 2025* I'm a 115kg female hiker.
