Review: Great Price and Performance; short life span but worth it - I used to use the Silverstars before the Silverstar Ultras came out. The Ultras are a enhanced, great product, that illuminate the road further and wider whether on the Interstate or country roads. The street signs, reflective paint and strips on the roads really pop out which makes it easier to drive at any speed. I could really tell with these lights the improved visibility over the standard halogen OEM bulbs how much brighter it was. I don't care for fake ultra ultra white (HID) lights look, I care more about how a product illuminates the road. I had some fake HID white bulbs before and couldn't see very well at night especially when it rained even when they cost more, but the Silverstar Ultras are great! Even though they last from 9-12 months, changing the bulbs takes me less than 5 min for both headlights so if you have trouble changing them out you may want to look at longer lasting ones at the expense of dimmer lights. I couldn't justify the price premium on the Piaa Intense White H4 bulbs over these. You will also notice they have a sharp European headlight beam pattern (low on the right and higher on the right hand side like a fat check mark). They are brighter but do not blind other drivers because if they are aimed properly the cut-off pattern really helps. PROS: -buy from desertcart, 40-50% less then auto part stores (~[...] pair vs ~$50 pair). Plus free shipping :-) -keep your receipt and Sylvania may your replace your bulbs if they burn out in less than a year. You will have to contact [...] customer service (make sure you have a receipt) -white and bright light make it well worth the cons -if you have poor night vision they really help CONS: -may cost 2x more than standard cheap bulbs -will not last as long as the cheap bulbs -the longevity is a big con if you have a hard time to access and change your headlight bulb Review: Nice white light - Much cheaper than the store. Nice and bright. ## Features - Lights Dim Over Time, Replace In Pairs: Be sure to replace both 9003 headlights at the same time for optimum performance. If one bulb burns out, the other isn't far behind. Replacing in pairs allows for premium visibility - Brightest 9003 Headlight Equals Most Downroad Visibility: See all aspects of the road better with Sylvania's premium headlight bulbs, the Ultra Night Vision performance headlight - Whiter Light For Added Clarity: Patented Tri-Band Technology helps provide the whitest 9003 light compared to Sylvania OE bulbs. Improve contrast and object visibility such as street signs and road hazards - Sleek Style and Improved Safety At Night: Replace your standard 9003 bulb for this bright white halogen headlight that will increase your vehicles night time driving experience - The Sylvania Standard Of Quality: With over 100 years in business, Sylvania is the world leader in automotive lighting for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0012ETJ1O | | Auto Part Position | Front | | Automotive Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #66,117 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #324 in Automobile Headlight Bulbs | | Brand | SYLVANIA | | Brand Name | SYLVANIA | | Brightness | 910 Lumen | | Color | White | | Color Temperature | 4100 Kelvin | | Colour temperature | 4100 Kelvin | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 2,880 Reviews | | Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00046135356018 | | Included Components | SLVR STR ULTRA 2PK | | Item Type Name | SLVR STR ULTRA 2PK | | Light Output Maximum | 910 Lumens | | Light Source Type | Halogen | | Light source type | Halogen | | Manufacturer | SYLVANIA | | Manufacturer Part Number | 9003SU.BP2 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 12 Month Customer Satisfaction Guarantee | | Model Number | 9003SU.BP2 | | Number of Items | 1 | | OEM Equivalent Part Number | 9003SU/2 | | Operating Life | 1000 Hours | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Specific Uses For Product | Headlight | | Specific uses for product | Headlight | | UPC | 046135356018 | | Unit Count | 2 Count | | Wattage | 60 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SYLVANIA - **Brightness:** 910 Lumen - **Colour temperature:** 4100 Kelvin - **Light source type:** Halogen - **Specific uses for product:** Headlight ## Images ![Sylvania 9003 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, Brightest Downroad with Whiter Light (2 Bulbs) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/814inNDVEGL.jpg) ![Sylvania 9003 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, Brightest Downroad with Whiter Light (2 Bulbs) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/818T6cGOLHL.jpg) ![Sylvania 9003 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, Brightest Downroad with Whiter Light (2 Bulbs) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qTl8jZXxL.jpg) ![Sylvania 9003 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, Brightest Downroad with Whiter Light (2 Bulbs) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71eRVw9Z1eL.jpg) ![Sylvania 9003 SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, Brightest Downroad with Whiter Light (2 Bulbs) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71psqNRxleL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What color do they look like? I want in the middle of white and blue!** A: Closer to white than blue. If there is a blue hue, it is very subtle. Noticeably less 'yellow' than the less expensive bulbs. **Q: Will these blind other motorists? I'd like a wider lit area but I don't want to harm oncoming drivers.** A: Men in your 20's: These are not for you! Your lamps need to look hip and cool and pure uber white! For everyone else these are brighter, wider, less interfering to other motorists, and might save your life because you see obstacles further away. But your ride will not look Hella trendy young man. Nerdy in fact :( **Q: will these fit a 2005 yamaha roadstar?** A: The "Check vehicle for fit" link on the Amazon page for the Sylvania H7 returned the following result..."This does not fit your 2005 Yamaha XV1700A Road Star." But you can play with the link to see what does/doesn't work. **Q: will these fit 1999 jeep cherokee? with headlight conversion** A: If your conversion is an H4, yes they will fit fine. I suggest the PIAA 4000 bulb instead, however, it's much brighter and whiter. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Price and Performance; short life span but worth it *by P***N on 21 September 2010* I used to use the Silverstars before the Silverstar Ultras came out.
