It is also ideal where high degrees of pollution (sulfur, salts, acids, etc.) are present. For reference, DeoxIT Shield has 0% cleaning action. Any contacts and connectors that conduct electricity are candidates. Pre-clean with DeoxIT D-Series to clean the surfaces, remove oxidation & sulfides. Step two involves applying either DeoxIT Shield S-Series or DeoxIT Gold. These are companion products to DeoxIT and add longer lasting protection.
