It takes me about 5 minutes. The grill plate is VERY HEAVY. Watch out for pinched fingers. I only wish there was a rotisserie attachment too, but I'll weld one up myself. I find it works best with "cowboy charcoal". I set up some bricks and use an old grate, and set the coals about 6" under and it cooks great! Im very happy with it. **Q: Can the legs be removed from the base?** A: Yes, the legs are bolted to the base with (4) nuts and bolts on each side. **Q: Can this be left outside in rain or snow uncovered when not in use?** A: I leave it outside in the rain and I’ve had no problem **Q: Where is this grill made?** A: At current year 2022, I was able to talk to Titan product specialist and they confirmed that these Santa Maria grill (including the smaller and round version) are “designed in US but made in China!
