Review: Severe Dissapointment - Wow! I finally fell for something. I saw this and thought, for 16 bucks total, this looks like a cool idea to try on my next hotel summer travel spree. I thought this product was at least metal. I was even ok with really cheap potted metal. Yet, it is actually extremely flimsy and cheap china made plastic. Its not even 2 mils thick. I'd be alright even with plastic, if it at least had some heft to it. This product is really really flimsy. I could easily snap this thing in half, with just one hand. I have no doubt it would prevent the deadbolt knob from turning. But, This piece would not stand up to any force at all. If the deadbolt has any sort of actual mechanical connection to the key, a quick turn of a key could snap this. I saw a demo online where the key was snapped off in a lock held by this, so I naturally assumed, my mistake, that this is metal. Nope, just went slow enough to stress the key before the plastic. I'll be amazed if this makes it intact through even one full flight with the TSA. I'll right a good review in here, if it actually does work, but I certainly will be putting a shim under the door ledge anyways. Also, this did not come with the "support bracket" and "mounting strap", as the package claims. More worth the shipping cost minus the 15 bucks.
