Review: Easy to make and fun - Its slightly pricey for what it is, but they were good, easy to make (way less messy than I anticipated) and fun. Got it as a birthday gift for my niece and we made them together. She (12) was able to do most of it by herself but had a little trouble wrapping the dough over the ice cream. Make sure you freeze ice cream overnight. Tried both overnight and freezing for just 2 hours and they were way easier to wrap the dough on the frozen overnight ones. Would be nice to have 2 of the ice cream molds.

My daughter loves mochi so I bought this for her. She’s 12 and attempted this on her own. It didn’t work out so I made them for her. It’s definitely a messy, sticky task. I would go as far as to say frustrating, too. I’ll chalk that up to being a beginner. I had trouble rolling out the dough without it sticking to absolutely everything, even after dusting it as recommended in the instructions. I would caution against buying this for children.
