Being a retired mechanic, I was vary concerned with that much lift on a independent suspension and was going for the 2 inch lift. I installed the lift and started to check for suspension travel for topping out. Actually I was surprise that there was some travel left for he goes hunting and hits some back trails. Be careful disassembling for the original shock limits the suspension travel when on jacks. Support the lower a-arm before removing. I installed new 2003 Ram 2500 OEM shocks for they have increase length,travel and they fit. Can"t beat the price. Its been one week and he loves it and still has the original ride. Will do Alignment in a week. I originally planned on 33" tires but these 35s actually fit! Even better! Just had to trim some of the plastic inside the fender to clear when turning. Easy installation with spring compressor tool that I rented at auto parts store. I also installed 3" extended shocks to upgrade my suspension.
