It definitely helps me with shape and smoothness of my pieces.  The one thing I wish it had is groves to aid in holding with hands being wet it is really hard for me to keep a grip on it.

LOVE THESE!!! It takes a little time to get the hang of how to use without gauging or collapsing pot. But once you do get the angle and feel down these help uniform your pots quickly and you spend hardly no time trimming because these do all the work for you!!! Fabulous Product!!!
