Review: Toddler Perfect! - This is seriously far better than I could have hoped for. My toddler expressed that he felt scared in the dark, so I started looking for an appropriate flashlight for him to have in bed with him at night. This one is comically dim to an adult but absolutely perfect for a toddler, gives confidence and a light but It is also totally fine when they fall asleep with it shining in their face. Speaking of falling asleep with it, no, it does not have an automatic shutoff, but we are a month in of using it every night and he leaves it on every night all night and we are still in the first set of batteries! Amazing! I have a 2.5-3yr old using it and the on/off switch is not a problem at all for him to find and use in his own. It’s also super cute on top of everything else! Love this so much! Can’t recommend it enough!

**Q: Is the wattage low enough it won't keep my child up all night? She likes to read under the covers to fall asleep.**
A: Hi! More importantly, the flashlight does not have an automatic "off". If it is left off all night, the batteries may be drained, and since the bulb cannot be replaced, the flashlight will not last very long.

**Q: What kind of bulb does this item have?**
A: It's an LED bulb. Not super bright, but just enough for younger children to enjoy without worry of damaging their eyes. Because of the low lumen output, the battery life is pretty good too. My son loves his. He's had it for several years now and still uses it for reading in the dark, playing outside at night, and camping.

**Q: It has a loop at the top. Is a string included to add?**

**Q: Would this beeasy for a 1 year old to turn on and off?**
A: My kiddos we're 2 and 4 when they got theirs, and didn't have trouble. I'd say some 1 year olds would be able to switch it on.

This is seriously far better than I could have hoped for. The first one I received didn't work. Amazon shipped a new one out ASAP with no questions asked. GREAT customer service. My 3 year old loves playing with his flashlight and searching for "treasure". My daughter has recently been asking to bring books into her crib to "read" after she gets oeut down for the night. This flashlight is perfect because it's not burn-your-retinas-out bright like every other flashlight I've found. People on here are complaining because it's too dim, but it's perfect for a reading light or really for any kind of toddler activity because the first thing they do is shine it in their own eyes, and the second thing they do is shine it in yours. If you're looking for something you can see from space, get any other LED flashlight on here. If you're looking for a gentle, not super bright toddler flashlight, this one is a big win.
