Packaging Is Less Than Ideal. - This is one of the best deals on a TV series I've seen. Not only do you get all 8 seasons with all the extras, you also get an Ultraviolet copy that if purchased separately would actually cost MORE than this set does. Significantly more. All in all, this is a fantastic value, and not a bad show piece. Many people have mentioned this, but the packaging is a bit...odd. The outer case is a transparent green plastic that's been glued together. The plastic itself is okay, but I have concerns about the glued pieces. I feel like a normal cardboard cover would handle a drop better than this would. Obviously the plan is to never drop it or allow it to fall, but I feel like it's worth mentioning. In a similar vein, the plastic container doesn't grip the inner case at all, where a cardboard one does, and allows it to slide out slowly. Even tipping it the wrong way could cause it to fall out too quickly and be damaged. As for the inner case, it protects the discs very well, assuming you never ever use them. It grips them in such a way that you have to grab the discs from both sides and in pulling out the discs begin a scratching process that only gets better(worse) over time. I would recommend relying heavily on the digital copy for regular viewing, and only using the discs for the special features. Still, it's a good deal and a decent show piece. It is a nice box set. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A New Way To Store The Discs *by W***L on February 22, 2015* All the past reviews I've seen concerning the packaging of this dvd set, made it seem very difficult to get any of the dvd's out of the slots. Well, it looks like the packaging has been altered because of all the complaints. Instead of there being 2 discs in each slot, which would make very hard to get the discs out without either scratching them or cracking them, the packaging company set it up so there are 17 slots for each of the 17 dvd's. They are still a bit tough to remove, but I put on a rubber glove and was able to slide each of the discs out fairly well. Now, instead of having to put each disc back in it's slot, which is still a tight fit, I just put each of the 17 dvd's into 17 separate plastic dvd holders and numbered each of the holders with the season. If anyone wants to use this suggestion when buying the complete collection of "Weeds", this might help them a lot.
