Review: A red dye that actually turns red - Finally a food gel that turns red without using half the bottle, just a few drops and I get that vibrate bright red color not a pale red or pinkish red but bright red. I didn’t taste no weird aftertaste from the dye, Bottle size is decent think a small bottle of hot sauce in size. It’s easy to mix in to icing/frosting but be careful will stain your floor/counter if you get the gel directly on it and don’t clean it right away even on your skin of washed off may leave a slight stain for a few days. All in all worth it.

**Q: Can cookie dough be colored with americolor soft gel paste, and will the colors bleed?**
A: Yes, you can use the gel to color the cookies. If you have a very oily dough it may bleed. You may want to be genourous with color, as the black is made of magenta and teal concentrated, and it tends to separate when meshed with oil. Using a little more than enough to get them dark should minimize separation.

**Q: I see customer pictures of the red color i need but no one says whichted they actually ordered?**
A: The Red Color is vivid whit after taste

**Q: How well does it mix with oil?**
A: No. It’s water based.

**Q: Can i use this color for red velvet cake?**
A: I have never used it in a cake. But honestly I don't see why you couldn't use it instead of any other food coloring.
