This was the only book I purchased for GK prep. Seeing as I passed, I definitely give thumbs up to Mometrix. I needed the greatest refresher in the math section, and the book gave a great sample of the types of problems that are on the actual test. There were, however, a few areas that I didn't feel were explained enough in the study guide, so I ended up having to look up more examples online and/or find better explanations. Overall though, it was really good prep. The practice exam was very helpful, and I really liked the explanations in the answer key for each problem. I did get additional practice in the pertinent study areas using a free online "academy," but I knew what to practice because of this book. When comparing this book to the actual test, I would say the examples and practice questions in this book were more challenging than the actual exam, but that helped me be prepared. After taking the test I went online and did some real research and purchased this book. After a few days of studying and using the practice test I have increased my scores immensely. The descriptions and examples on how to receive the answer are very descriptive and helpful. Also, the challenge level is the same as the level on the actual test.
