I painted on it. **Q: Your header says 62" wide, the description says 48" wide. Which is it?** A: Hi,It is 62" wide **Q: this is to be used as a rug? in a small entrance room... is it sturdy enough? how does this get cut ?** A: I ended up returning this. It came in as a "fabric-type" rather than a rug. Very thin and NOT AT ALL what you see in picture. I returned it and got an actual rug from this link. Also it comes in different sizes. Iron Gate Handspun Jute Area Rug 5x8 Hand Woven by Skilled Artisans, 100% Natural Jute Yarns, Thick Ribbed Construction, Reversible for Double The wear, Rug pad Recommended **Q: Is this a thin burlap fabric - or a more stiff but still flexible carpet-like fabric ? I am looking for sisal fabric to re-cover cat posts** A: Yes, it can be used to re-cover cat posts. It is thick enough for that. I usually use sisal rope to re-cover my cat posts. I find it lasts longer and the cats like it better. Hope this helps! ## Frequently Bought Together - Burlap Fabric LIGHT BLUE Fabric / 40" Wide/Sold by the Yard - Burlap Fabric Jute Yellow / 58" Wide/Sold by The Yard --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/28804575-burlap-fabric-light-blue-fabric-40-wide-sold-by-yard](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/28804575-burlap-fabric-light-blue-fabric-40-wide-sold-by-yard) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
