The quinoa arrived packaged in a box, and inside the box was the bag you see in the picture. I was a little leery at first about not rinsing before using, but that's what I did - and the quinoa really doesn't need washing! :) Also, there is no chaff in it, like there was in the last bag I ordered (from a DIFFERENT seller). This quinoa is very clean.My granddaughter requested quinoa for her birthday supper, and it turned out perfectly. If the recipe calls for cooked quinoa, I have a different way of cooking it that works well for me. I measure the quinoa and water (and salt if using) into a saucepan and turn it to high (medium if you are using water-less cookware). When the water is boiling, I reduce the heat slightly, set the timer for five minutes and continue boiling and stirring until the five minutes is up. Then I cover with a tight-fitting lid and take the pan off the burner. I let it sit for 20 minutes while I am doing the rest of the meal and then fluff with a fork. This method has never failed me. I get perfect quinoa every time.Our whole family loves quinoa! The nutty taste and the texture have us coming back for more over and over again. It's a good thing that it's so healthy for one - and a complete protein for those of use who don't eat a lot of meat. As a side note, I am diabetic. Quinoa is one of the few grains that doesn't shoot my blood sugar up.As far as this seller is concerned, I will be back when this bag is used up. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐ Great price, you will bite on rocks from time to time *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2017* So I've bought the 25lb bag 2 times now and the price is the best I've found so far. Even better than Costco, since they've raised the prices of their 4 pound bags from 8 dollars several years ago to 16-19 dollars now. I've bought many different brands of quinoa in the past and this brand I would say is just ok. It gets 3.5 stars from me because of the fantastic price, but on many occasions Ive bitten down on tiny little clear rocks that blend in with the quinoa. I almost chipped my tooth on one of the rocks. This is not an infrequent occurrence and you will encounter the same thing. Its extremely annoying and I have to be careful when chewing. If I can find another brand that is similarly priced per pound or a little more I will be switching on the next order. I feel like anything under 3 dollars a pound is a very good deal. ### ⭐ Too Many Stones In Few Cups of Quinoa, STAY AWAY! *by B***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2018* I was giving this Quinoa a try as they had 25 lb bulk packaging. While just looking, it seems completely fine but when you cook and eat, you will bite large number of stones. This is disgusting specially after paying almost $70 for a bag of Quinoa. I never felt stones in any other brands of Quinoa before. To get some idea about the number of stones, I took few cups of Quinoa in a large plate and looked very carefully for stones. I found around 10 stones (picture attached). Still after cooking I was feeling stones. Next time, I tried to filter stones using water in a small container. While doing so I found 5 stones in just one cup of Quinoa (picture attached). This is horrible and I am not eating this anymore. If that many stones are in few cups, imagine how much in the whole bag.!!!
