The tub in place with the Structo-lite base is very sturdy, has no give in the bottom and no cracking. It has been in place for 6+ months with no problems whatsoever. Know, though, that it takes a WHOLE lot of water to fill this tub... more hot water than you may have! Those long hot soaky baths may always be a dream until you get a larger or an auxiliary water heater to supplement your hot water supply. Be sure to buy the associated drain system. Also note that this tub does not have a tiling flange. There is a kit that will allow you to set it in an alcove with a tile or other type of surround.
