Featuring an easy-to-read LCD display that logs entry and exit times for up to 3 cats, it fits glass, doors, and walls up to 100mm thick with a weatherproof magnetic flap. Ideal for multi-cat households, it offers security, convenience, and energy efficiency, backed by Pet Mate’s trusted 3-year warranty. ## Description Product Description The Cat Mate Elite Microchip Cat Flap with Timer Control is the perfect solution for selective entry control, operated by your cat’s implanted identification microchip. This eliminates the problems caused by the unwelcome intrusion of neighbouring cats, providing a safe and secure environment for your cat. Once your cat’s microchip has been registered, the Timer Control function can be programmed to select access times for all your cats through the cat flap, e.g. to keep cats in at night. Up to 9 cats can be registered. For cats without an implanted microchip, a unique Cat Mate I.D. Disc can be attached to your cat’s collar (available separately). The easy to view LCD panel displays helpful location indicators for up to 3 selected cats, showing whether they have entered or exited through the cat flap and the time since each cat last used the flap. Other display features include the electronic 4-Way lock status (Unlocked, In Only, Out Only, Locked) and low battery indicator. The stylish design maximises entrance opening space - providing easy, stress-free access for your cat. The large 144mm (W) x 150mm (H) opening is fitted with a transparent flap which is preferred by most cats and is made from super tough polymer. The brush sealed flap with magnetic closure ensures a draft and weatherproof seal. The Cat Mate Elite Microchip Cat Flap with Timer Control is self lining to 100mm thick - ideal for fitting to all doors and walls, including metal and single/multiple glazed panels. Product dimensions: 248mm (W) x 265mm (H) x 135mm (D). Cut out size: 178mm (W) x 205mm (H). IMPORTANT: For glass installation you will need a glazier to cut a 232mm diameter hole in the panel. Please note that for installation into double/triple glazing or toughened glass will require a new panel to be made. For wall thickness over 100mm, a Cat Mate Elite Wall Liner will be required for each additional 50mm (available separately). All Cat Mate products are covered by a 3 year guarantee. I'm not interested in RIF control; I just need a cat door that operates on a timer.** A: Kay, I don't think the door will lock in training mode. But I, like you, just wanted a timed cat-door. For me it was to let the cats go out once the sun was up and lock them in once it got dark. I do not have any issues with animals (raccoons, opossum, chupacabra) trying to get in and because I have three cats and the chips were kinda big I simply taped a chip to the inside of the kitty door. This way when it is set to open there is always a chip close enough to activate it and the cat just has to push on it. Any cat can get in or out during the day and when it is set to close no one can leave (actually I only "close" it so the cats can't get out after dark, but after dark they can get in). I hope this is helpful for you.Red **Q: Is the latching mechanism loud? how long does it take to read the chip and unlatch? rfid collor model is loud and slow.** A: Noise is moderate. Latching mechanism timing depends primarily on the microchip placement in the animal. If the chip is close to the neck area, it works well. If the chip is more towards the shoulders, the animal has to nose at the door for a period for the latch to trigger correctly. Hope this helps... **Q: If I set the timer to lock at night and not let the cats out, if the cats are already outside after that time, are they locked out from coming in?** A: No, They still can come inside but cannot go back out again until the time you set them to go out. **Q: i though i read you need the tags ? so no tags or microchip required for this door " Ani Mate Elite "** A: Yes it comes with 2 tags and you can buy more compatible tags to cat mate for 15 bucks for 2. ## Frequently Bought Together - Cat Mate Elite Microchip Cat Flap W/ Timer Control - Cat Mate Elite 2" Wall Liner for Cat Mate Elite Doors - White - Cat Mate Collar Worn Pet ID Disc for use with all Cat Mate, Dog Mate, and Closer Pets Products --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/289852229-elite-microchip-cat-flap-with-digital-timer-and-lcd-display](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/289852229-elite-microchip-cat-flap-with-digital-timer-and-lcd-display) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
