Che dire... i ribbon tweeter o si amano o si odiano... io personalmente li amo. Non affatica l'orecchio anche dopo ore di ascolto, è precisissimo, con un soundstage ampissimo e, soprattutto, è molto "rivelatore", cioè mette a nudo e ben in evidenza i vari difetti di mix e audio. Bisogna comunque farci l'orecchio sopra, perché all'inizio sembra quasi dare un suono poco amalgamato, troppo "separato". Ebbi dei problemi su una A7X (tweeter che emetteva strani fruscii anche senza ingresso audio, un problema di alcuni batch prodotti nell'arco di un anno) che ho risolto grazie all'assistenza (tribolato ahimè ben 6 mesi, ma alla fine si è arrivati a una soluzione), ma questa A5X sembra a posto. These monitors are incredible in the highs and mids. The low end leaves a bit to be desired but it is present. After a few mixes on these it's pretty easy to find the balance however. **Q: Can you connect to telivision** A: if TV has RCA out and internal unamped DAC. These are powered speakers, don't use with an amplifier. **Q: What is the realistic bottom frequency response?** A: I really can't answer that as I use them with an Adam 8 subwoofer. If you like really deep bass I would recommend using a subwoofer. But from what I remember when using them before the sub, they had at least decent bass response. But if you are into rock, or any other heavy bass music, I would suggest a sub. Hope that helps. But they are absolutely a phenomenal speaker. You won't be disappointed! **Q: polk audio lsim 703 vs adam ax5** A: Dear Kevin: I am not familiar with the Polk Audio Isim 703 monitors, so I cannot make a direct comparison between the two, be it similarities or differences...however, what I can say about the Adam Audio A5X monitors is that they provide a remarkably clean and clear sonic response, with reasonably substantial bass for a 5.5 inch mid-range/woofer, which is tight down to its specified low frequency cut-off point. The mid-range and treble range is clean/clear and detailed, without an etched quality,and is non-fatiguing. When "properly" set up, imaging appears to be excellent in terms of location specificity, and breadth and depth are well conveyed.
