The backplane requires two mini sas cables (not supplied).On the positive side this case has huge potential for modification. I was happy to find that the font handles can be removed and placed at the back of the case so it can be reverse mounted in a rack giving full access to the rear connections (a tiny square of metal needs removing on the lid on both sides to have it sit flat). The lid can be opened with just 2 press down clips and is in 2 halfs with only the area above the motherboard can be opened with the front section housing the backplane riveted to the case.In short, this case would be fine around the 100 - 130 pound price range and should be seen more for a prosumer / hobbyist then anything too serious but looks good and plenty of potential for modification. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant! *by W***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2017* Really well built with awesome features! Only bad point is that one of the LED indicators on one of the drive bays has now faded & doesn't always work but this does effect the functionality at all, overall great case for a short rack! ### ⭐⭐ Gut mit wichtigen Schwächen *by M***N on Reviewed in Germany on 5 February 2019* Das Gehäuse kommt gut verpackt mit verschiedenem Ergänzungsmaterial nach Hause. Esrter Eindruck: stabil, geräumig, lange haltbar. Eingebaut habe ich ein ATX MB von SM. X11SCA-FAlles passt soweit. Bis man zur Verkabelung der beiden Front USB's kommt. Ich habe dieses Gehäuse unter anderem deswegen gewählt, weil es einen USB3 UND einen USB2 Anschluß gibt. USB2 für Installationen, Booten usw, USB3 für schnelle Datenübertragung im Betrieb. Es ist ja bekannt das sich ein USB3 Anschluss nicht zum Booten eignet.Als ich die Kabelkonfig im Gehäuse sehe (siehe Foto) bin ich etwas erstaunt. Es gibt zwar je 1 Kabel zu biden Buchsen, aber das wird später zu einem Kabel zusammengeführt und kann NUR entweder an dem USB3 ODER USB2 Header angeschlossen werden. Dachte mit, was solls, ist ja sonst ein gutes Gehäuse, holst du dir eine interne Verlängerung für den USB2 Header. Hab ich gemacht, diesen angeschlossen, Nüscht.Nach hin und her probieren festgestellt das der USB2 nur für Boot zu gebrauchen ist wenn der USB2 Stecker direkt auf dem Header sitzt und der USB3 NICHT verbunden ist.Da war ich erstaunt. Wieso machen die das bei einem Servergehäuse??Hab also ein Ticket bei Inter-Tech eröffnet. Null Hilfe. Die scheinen das Problem nicht zu verstehen oder verstehen zu wollen.Eine der Antworten vom Support. Genauso wenig hilfreich wie am Thema vorbei.Zitat: "Um noch auf die Problematik mit dem USB 3.0 zu kommen. Der Abzweig, der aus dem USB 3.0 Stecker herauskommt, ist nur dafür gedacht, dass wenn Ihr Mainboard keinen internen USB 3.0 Pfostenstecker hat, Sie diesen auch an USB 2.0 anschließen können.So verfällt der USB 3.0 Frontanschluss nicht, wenn Sie keinen USB 3.0, sondern nur USB 2.0 auf dem Board haben. Sie sind nicht der erste Kunde, der diesen Abzweig fälschlich deutet."Oder: "Für den USB 2.0 Frontanschluss gibt es EIN separates Kabel und für den USB 3.0 Frontanschluss gibt es EIN separates Kabel. Es werden nicht beide Frontanschlüsse über ein Kabel angeschlossen." Was ja nun definitiv falsch ist.Oder: "Der USB 2.0 und USB 3.0 verlaufen in einen 19pol Stecker, da der 19pol auf dem Board zwei USBs verarbeiten kann. Wenn Sie also den 19pol auf das Board stecken, funktioniert automatisch auch der USB 2.0.Dieser USB 2.0 Abzweig, der an dem USB 3.0 Pfostenstecker ist, ist nur dafür gedacht, dass Sie die beiden Frontanschlüsse auch dann nutzen können, wenn Sie keinen internen 19pol USB 3.0 Header, sondern nur USB 2.0 Header haben. Sie können also wahlweise die beiden Frontanschlüsse über USB 3.0 oder USB 2.0 intern betreiben." Auch das durch praktischen versuch wiederlegt.Und die Krönung ist die Antwort vom 'Haus-Techniker': "Sie können, so wie jetzt angeschlossen, beide Buchsen vorne mit USB 2.0 Geschwindgkeit nutzen. Sollten Sie Bedarf haben, den vordern USB 3.0 Anschluß auch als solchigen nutzen zu können, muss die 9 polige USB 2.0 Verbindung wieder abgezogen werden und dafür der 19 polige Stecker auf den passenden Header auf dem Mainboard gesteckt werden. Da Intel USB 3.0 Controller oft probleme mit der Erkennung von Massenspeichern haben, ist evtl. ein BIOS Update erforderlich. Auch zu hohe Energiespareinstellungen können zu diesem Problem führen."SummaSummarum, das Gehäuse ist für technisch bewanderte definitiv zu empfehlen, man muss aber mit Problemen rechnen.PS: ganz vergessen zu erwähnen, einer der 8 Schächte war so unsauber gearbeitet, das ich mit einer kleinen Eckfeile den Schacht noch bearbeiten musste bevor die Festplatte gepasst hat.Zitat vom Support hierzu ist der Knaller: "wir vermuten das die Festplatte, die Sie für diesen Schacht benutzen wollen zu groß ist. Es gibt nämlich tatsächlich 3,5" Festplatten eines Herstellers die nicht in den linken, oberen Schachtpasst, da Sie nicht den gültigen Spezifikationen entspricht." Aber in die anderen Schächte passt sie? Sind die Schächte anders als der linke obere?
