Further, it would be a nice addition to any maritime/nautical collection. With a foreward written by Walter Cronkite, a self-described CG fan, it starts with his wonderful tribute to this (often forgotten) armed service. If you are looking for a comprehensive book that covers all ratings, this is not it, as this focuses on the operational mission of the Coast Guard and history. The pictures are abundant, and it is nicely written.
