**Q: Does it reset at midnight every night or only every 7 days? Is there a way to reset daily?**
A: There appear to be 2 different versions.  The Royal Blue automatically resets every night.  However, I just received the same model number that is a more muted blue and that has to be manually reset every day.  I prefer the Royal Blue version as it also keeps track of aerobic activity.

**Q: how many steps does it counts?**
A: I suspect that it goes at least to 99,999 but the furthest I have ever walked in one day, according to the Omron pedometer's count, was just over 40,000.  I have several days per year that it counts between 30,000 and 40,000 steps for me.

**Q: how do u change the battery?**
A: To change the battery, there is a point where you can open the battery compartment on the other side of the pedometer where you press the clip that allows fastening to your belt. This point looks like a small slit where a small coin (penny) will fit in and then allow you to twist the You will see the battery inside this compartment.

**Q: How do you measure the steps**
A: Before using this pedometer one must enter one's body weight and average length of walking stride. The device will count each time you take a step. It will also indicate the calories burned and miles walked based on the body weight and stride length entered. This pedometer comes with directions, including how to measure your stride. If you buy this device from Amazon, beware that Omron does not make this model anymore. The units bought from Amazon are leftovers with dead batteries. You will have to purchase a new battery to get it to work. I bought 4 or 5 of these pedometers, all with old dead batteries. The batteries are easy to find and replace. They cost about 4 to 5 dollars.
