Last one I ordered had to be returned the saucer is.missing.** A: Unless we receive a return, I never open the product box at risk of the item appearing used (try not to disrupt the packaging). However, for customer returns that I did receive, I never noticed a saucer. I don't have an answer why the manufacturer would display this item on a saucer. **Q: Are others receiving the items in old unprotected boxes. Twice I've gotten broken items thrown into a larger box.** A: Under the Amazon FBA program, 3rd party suppliers (that is us) ship products to Amazon warehouses, and Amazon is responsible for shipping the product to the end customer. At times Amazon personal - I assume - follow the proper shipping instructions and sends an item to the end customer with little or no packing. Or worst... I personally have received from Amazon glass picture frames sent in a padded envelope, and glass breaking.
