Better than an older Bluetooth speaker cube with better rated speakers. Water resistant to coffee/ soda that have been dumped on it and the added utility of the flashlight really puts this unit over the edge. We have a few Walmart types around here that do well enough and thought they sounded good. We compared them to this speaker and this one won! The others sounded flat and this one definitely has that bass boost. This is well built and all the outlets are covered with the water resistant tab closures. This is going to be perfect for our beach trip next month. The charge is quick and we played it for 8 hours one day. My phone died before the speaker did. The flashlight feature is neat and I’m sure would be helpful while camping or those nighttime festivities. This comes boxed well and with a clip that easily attaches to the end, Aux cable and USB cable.While this meets standards for IP64, you need to know this is NOT submersible. If you’re not familiar with the rating it means 6 is the highest protection against dust- Dust Tight (No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact.) The 4 means it’s protected against splashing water (Water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect.) We plan on hooking the speaker to the beach tent to keep the kiddos away from it. So feel confident to take this to the ball park, the pool or the beach. We have loved using it outdoor on our patio.
