## Description

Rust-Oleum HOME Two-Part Floor Coating System makes it a snap to update outdated, ugly floors at a fraction of the price of new flooring. Premium base coat paint adheres to surfaces without the need for sanding, priming or stripping and can be stenciled for a custom design. The top coat sealer protects the base coat with an ultra-durable clear finish that withstands the rigors of everyday use. Usable on vinyl, concrete, hardwood, laminate, ceramic and porcelain flooring, it can be walked on within just one day.

Review: Easy to apply and looks great! - I love this product! I was looking for a lower cost option to an epoxy floor for my basement project. I found this product and added a glitter additive (specifically for paint) and this was the end result! It was pretty easy to use and very low odor. Some words of wisdom: Spend time on prepping the floor. I painted over concrete and spent hours cleaning it. I bought an etching acid to get it perfect before I even considered painting. It was a pain, but payoff was 100% worth it. Paint two coats of the base coat. As tempting as it is to lay it on thick and/or paint a second coat right away, wait for it to fully dry (24 hrs) before painting the second coat of the base. I made this mistake and ended up pulling up the first coat in some spots. It was salvageable by waiting a full 24 hours and repainting a second coat. Don’t skimp on the top coat. I did just one coat, but definitely didn’t skimp. Even so, I still had more top coat leftover after it was done. Overall, I highly recommend this product for a concrete flooring option that is more cost effective than epoxy!

**Q: I can use this paint on bathroom wall tile?**
A: I have done a complete remodel on my home. I can say this held up very good for the tile outside of my shower. I used it on the floor as well and was very disappointed. No matter what I did including all the steps and it was still sticky and tacky a week later and was easily scratched. I ended up putting a new floor in completely. Good luck on your own adventure.

**Q: Anyone able to comment on how it holds up after a couple years?**
A: Light colors stain unbelievably easy and do NOT hold up. I purchased the white with the matte sealer, and it is stained by everything from dog pee (which doesn’t even stain clothes) to soaps and cleaners. Tried using Clorox gel on an orangey rust colored stain - which was very strange to begin with because the stain was caused by a CLEAR liquid (ear cleaner) and it somehow turned the floor rust colored - and the sealer turned sticky and gummy. So I would say NO.

**Q: How does it hold up to chairs sliding across the floor like when someone sits down at a table or gets up from one? fr one?**
A: It doesn't hold up. I did the floor part of my fireplace followed directions and no one ever walks in that area. If my dog runs by it it scratches off easily. It's very frustrating.

**Q: What is the minimum time before you can walk on it quickly if it’s the only bathroom in the house?**
A: 2 hours with socks. Do not get it wet. Keep it to a minimum until dry.

Very happy with the final result. Can’t speak to Joe it will hold up, but keeping my fingers crossed. I will say that a needed 2 coats of the black to really cover everything, but I used much less of the top coat glaze. I used 3 quarts of the black but only used one quart of the glaze … which now means I have 2 cans of unopened glaze that I don’t need. That excess is the reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5.
