Review: The kit looks lovely, and the book is clear and easy to understand. This was a gift and I was very disappointed that the box and book arrived damaged. The book was almost ripped off the box and the box was grazed all over. I had to go out and buy a replacement gift. Very inconvenient. Still, as far as the kit goes, it looks really good. Review: My 8 year old granddaughter is showing some interest in starting to do hand sewing. I had gotten a different company's kit with prepunched holes and 'stick on' eyes, etc. While cute, I know that the eyes etc will fall off in a week and we would be left with a frustrated crafter. This kit is perfect for her. She picked it out herself, and loves the cuteness of the donut animals. The directions are STELLAR - even if you've never held a needle you can do this. I mean, it tells you how to tie a knot in the end of the thread! (This is definitely a 'do-together' project for someone who has not done any sewing, though. ) She finished the first donut and is pleased as can be. In this project she learned a running stitch and a whipstitch. She is learning how to take a few stitches on the back to tie off her thread (again, pointed out in the book) and now is getting more adept at threading the needle. Every item is SEWN on, so as I told her "these will still be together in 50 years". There is just enough challenge to make it interesting but not so bewildering that she is frustrated. She is delighted with the box to display them in and is very, very proud of her new skills. I bought Klutz things for my son (her father) 35 years ago, and the quality is still excellent. So glad to revisit this brand! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #26,980 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #20 in Needlework #60 in Hiking & Camping #607 in Cookbooks, Food & Wine | | Customer reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (966) | | Dimensions | 21.84 x 4.57 x 26.67 cm | | ISBN-10 | 1338566156 | | ISBN-13 | 978-1338566154 | | Item weight | 390 g | | Language | English | | Print length | 48 pages | | Publication date | 5 March 2020 | | Publisher | Klutz Press Inc | | Reading age | 8 - 11 years | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Kid - **Brand:** Klutz - **Color:** Clear - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 8.6 x 1.8 x 10.5 inches - **Theme:** Animal ## Images ![Klutz Sew Your Own Donut Animals - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7163hRQWBIL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by "***" on 10 April 2024* The kit looks lovely, and the book is clear and easy to understand.
