**Q: Can you use this to shield against thick tree roots growing toward the side walk? In our area the sidewalks get cracked and lifted due to tree roots**
A: No, it is not large enough or strong enough to block tree roots.  This shield does not go deep enough into the soil to even block weeds or grass.

**Q: How do you make it a curve?**
A: We returned them. Very brittle. Broke/cracked no matter how we put them in. (Rubber mallet, making a trench first etc...)

**Q: what is thickness?**
A: In the web area they are about 3/32 the ridged areas are just about 1/4

**Q: Any kind of warranty on these choppers? a bunch on mine broke when tapping in with a rubber mallet - never happened with my original purchase.**
A: I thought they had a warranty, but you best check with the people you ordered them from, I think the company that made them had a warranty
