For larger fittings, such as 1/8" NPT, the securing strap can be placed over the top of the grease fitting with ample room for the cap to secure as well. These particular caps are manufactured in India, they are small plastic caps so how long they last will depend on the amount of use they get. Generally speaking though one package should last at least a year. Thank you **Q: Do these fit a kubota bx series zerk?** A: Hello, Thank you for getting in touch, these fit all standard grease fittings (SAE & Metric) and will work on your machine. **Q: How does the securing loop attach? Will i have to unscrew the grease plugs or what?** A: If your fittings are smaller (1/4"-28 or Metric 6x1 you can unscrew them to install the loop under the head of the Zerk. And, you also have the option of just pushing the loop over the head of the Zerk. You'll still have enough room to attach the cap on top of it and be able to secure your coupler without removing the strap. **Q: will these work as dust caps for automotive brake bleeder valves?** A: That will depend on the size of the bleeder valve. They fit OK on the grease fittings, but I may have to cut off the retainer ring as they are on grease fittings that are recessed and sometimes pop off. Other than that, they are fulfilling their purpose. I would purchase them again if the need arises.
