Important and informative read, with one small flaw
A good summary, seemingly balanced in positives and negatives. A quick read for someone, with limited time, trying to learn more about Obama. The book summarizes what happened, but falls a bit short on why he did or didn't do things. More insight into his thinking would have been better.

Great series
These are great little books for people who want to learn more history but don't have time to slog through a 500pg book. I would recommend the whole series.

Hope and change
Such a great introduction to the 44th president of the United States. His attributes, characteristic, and leadership skills are well dictated in this book. The struggles he endured as a mix-racial individual, a rookie senator, and willingness to succeed, make him a figure that many can relate to. His orality skills is a key component that make him the great man that he is. Such an excellent read to dive in further into research of Barack Obama.

Obama
We all know who Barack Obama is and most of us have our own opinions of him and of his political actions. This biography is a fantastic way to learn a bit more about our 44th President in an unbiased and fair recount of his life so far. This is a great read before Obama’s new memoir is released.

Barak Obama: A Beacon for Change
Barak Obama was notably one of the most influential figures of the 21st century. Many praised him for being a beacon of social change while opposers slander him for not delegating enough fiscal change. Nevertheless, he will be remembered for making way for new change in areas of America that have been ignored for centuries. He saw the minorities as his priority. And so he fulfilled his duty to te best of his ability. Such a great read to e gives light to his early career in politics.

Overall worth reading.
This bio took barely an hour to read, and while I was somewhat disappointed at the lack of depth, I ultimately found myself glad of the simplicity of the format. This book doesn’t promise an in-depth study, but rather provides a high level view of the subject’s life. That, in itself, is valuable. If I want to delve deeper into any aspect of Barack Obama’s life and legacy, I can look for resources to help me do so. I’m glad purchased the book, and look forward to reading more from University Press.

it’s a summary, not a biography.
Rather than being a detailed description of Barack Obama’s life, and answering many of the questions that have arisen about his life, his training as a community organizer, his political life, and especially his actions as President of the United States, this “biography” is more like a skimpy outline. Sixty pages for such a controversial man and President? Inconceivable!

No need here folks
I think this book I a fair assessment of Barack Obama, however In my opinion it's very dry. It reads like a boring book report.
