I picked up some cheap cameras and my head unit reverse input now also gives me left and right camera feeds! Worth the extra money so I didn't have to worry about converting the pulse input of the blinkers into a constant signal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well. *by C***N on June 10, 2020* Works well for my Excursion 2009< mirrors. Great if you are towing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is exactly what I needed for a multi-camera setup *by L***Y on September 9, 2019* I wanted to add side-view cameras as well as a rear-view/reverse camera to my aftermarket stereo head unit and was struggling finding an easy way to do that. This unit met all my requirements and isn't too difficult to install. I was able to tie the power and ground wires directly to the stereo, and the "DVD Video" output wire directly to the Alpine reverse signal input wire that automatically triggers the head unit to display whatever camera image is being sent from the iBeam unit. The iBeam has separate trigger wires that tie into the turn signal wiring circuit, as well as to the reverse light. When either of these circuits are active (left/right turn or transmission in reverse), the iBeam automatically powers that camera on and sends the video signal to the head unit for display, using the DVD Video wire to trigger the head unit. The thing that was important to me is that even though the turn signals are a flashing/pulsing signal, the iBeam is smart enough to keep the video from blinking at the same rate as the turn signal flasher.About my only complaint is that after displaying the reverse camera, when you put the transmission in drive it will automatically display the front camera input from the iBeam unit for a few seconds. If you don't have a front camera, you get a black screen for that time. I haven't found a way to disable that, and it only happens for the reverse camera. The side-view cameras switch back to the normal head unit display pretty quickly after they are turned off.This is the best setup for a multi-camera install in a vehicle. The lead wires to tap into the turn signals and reverse light are very long and should work for even long vehicles like pickups and possibly even RVs. Its pretty small and easily sits behind my Alpine iLX-650W head unit (which is very shallow compared to most units). There is a little bit of a spaghetti mess of wires, but the unit has removable plugs to help with adjustments.
