Keeps the light close and it's not to bulky. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Simple, sturdy mount, but READ THIS FIRST! *by V***D on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2020* The mount is well built, solid and sturdy, but if you're buying this to mount at the 1 or 11 o'clock position and you have back up iron sights, it probably won't fit. I tried mounting mine on a rail with a Magpul MBUS front sight and the base of the sight is too wide and there just isn't enough clearance. You'd have to move the sign rearwards on the handguard or take it off. Or you'd have to install the mount so that the light is hanging at the 5 or 7 o'clock position.So unless you have a BUIS with an extremely narrow rail, you can't run the light next to it at the 1 or 11 o'clock position like most people will want to do. I found that out the hard way.If you're not running a BUIS or want to mount the light at 5 or 7, the mount is great. It's simple, sturdy and easy to install. Mount rings may come into contact with your front sights if it sits wide on the rail and you mount the flashlight in the 10 or 2 'o clock. If using a fenix pd35, only one ring will grip the flashlight body, had to wrap handle in electrical tape to be able to use both rings of the mount. Ships with quality hardware and even the allen wrench. Very easy to work light if it has a tail switch and mounted in the 10 O' Clock position.
