Pod brewers have small flat "pods". Keurig Green Mountain makes the best quality coffees and teas. Best prices on those are at Keurig.com. Keurig Green Mountain makes many different branded Kcups. There are however cheap bad want to be Kcups. **Q: My k45 started leaking all of it's water after 2 years. is it expected? anybody else went through the same thing? Is there a way to save it?** A: I had this happen to 2 Keurig's over the years. Keurig replaced the first one as it was under warranty but the 2nd one was not.Was a mechanic for 35 years and learned on fuel lines and radiator hoses that the hoses get stiff over age at the connect point's and may start leaking where they clamp. so when this started on my second Keurig I removed the bottom plate and found a pump that had clear hoses connected to it using slip wire ties as clamps.I see that these hoses where leaking where they slide on to the nipples of the pump. This would be a common find on a auto because of the constant heat of the motor or in this case because of the heat of the heating element in the keurig . The ends of the tubs where stiff where they connected to the nipples on the pump but the rest of the hose was flexible and soft as it should be.I trimmed back the the ends of the hoses at the nipple connect points about 1/2 inch and re installed them with new slip lock wire ties. Did not have any leaks after that. Hope this was helpful to all.you can get the same hose and wire slip ties at any hardware store just take your old ones to match up should you just want to replace them instead.Should also note that I leave my Keurig on most the time so the constant heat may contribute to this also.KEURIG is still in my book the best brewer out there. **Q: can i use my own ground coffee** A: will a keurig k 45 elite coffee maker accept the kobrew reusable cup for keurig k cups for $13.99 **Q: Will a standard 16 oz Tervis tumbler fit under this machine if you remove the base that you would normally stand a mug on?** A: I am not familiar with a Tervis tumbler. I have a large mug that holds 15oz & is 4 1/2 " tall that fits under this machine with room to spare without removing the overflow base.
