(: **Q: Really? $40 for a cardboard box and a light?** A: When I went to get my slides transfered into photos, it was going to cost me over $200.00 so yes $40 was worth ther box and I have use for it forever!! **Q: Doesn't "novelty" and "toy" usually mean its fake and doesn't work? So is this a real scanner or not?** A: I bought on after home quarantine started to make digital copies of slides. I didn’t want to invest a great deal of money in a scanner, but I wanted something that worked. I was very, very pleased. If you are looking to create high quality archival images, this is probably not for you. If you have slides you want to share digitally it will work very well. An added bonus was the ability to take images from View-Master reels. I would not call this a toy or a novelty item. It’s also not creating archival images. It works perfectly for what I needed. **Q: Does it work with medium format film negatives?** A: I was wondering the same thing.
