Works if you use the right bait and place it low
This product didn't work at first. I had it too high and used dog/chicken poop.I read some reviews and lowered it to about 3 ft from the ground. The bait that works best for me is spoiled lunch meat or an egg cracked into the cup.Things that could be better. The netting could be stronger. Moths and grasshoppers also get caught, but they chew their way out leaving holes big enough for the flies to escape. I'm just putting electrical tape over the holes for now, but eventually I'll have to buy new ones.Picture is after about 3 months of use. It's a lot of flies. I have a second one that has just as many. I don't feel the need to empty it, cause it's in my chicken coop. Once it's full or too holey I'll just toss the whole thing and replace. Not really sure how you empty it anyway.

This is not how a fly trap should be designed.
This is the first time I've ever seen a fly trap where the bait is outside the trap! The designer expects the fly to be drawn in by the bait, which is outside the trap and fly up into the trap, entering through a small hole in the netting and get trapped inside. If the fly leaves in any other direction, the trap will not contain the fly. I purchased this on the recommendation of a relative, not realizing I really needed to look at it first on the Amazon site - that's my bad, but the design is garbage. A milk jug with a cup or two of bait will capture more fly's than this thing will. If it was worth it, I'd return it, but it's not worth the effort.

It works
The only issue is rhat the green mesh was slightly toen and that one doesn’t work. I will call and see if they will replace a single trap.

Simi decent
If your not adding water or bait daily, this trap isn't for you. Don't use in high wind areas either.Otherwise, it's a good trap.

Work great
I've had these before and I don't care what anyone says, these things are the bomb! I placed mine at 11:30 am and by 3pm I could barely see through the mesh there where so many flies. It didn't come with bait which was annoying but honestly as distasteful as it is, nothing works better than some dog poo 😅 add a little water to keep things moist and stinky and they fly in like they're programmed to!

Cheap product
The netting starting to fall part less then one moth of usage. The flies were just escaping right out of it. Very disappointing with the product

Not great unfortunately
The concept for this is great but it’s poorly made. I live in a “high fly” area on the High Plains. Like biblical proportions of flies in the summer!! It’s gross and annoying. I had high hopes for these traps but so far they are a fail. They are cheaply made. If there is any kind of breeze (which we have so much wind in the high plains) the hook comes disconnected inside the trap….which means you don’t catch flies. You can’t really get inside to bend the hook tighter because it’s in the trap netting itself. The bait bowl is cheap and the holder is flimsy. In any kind of wind or breeze, even on the covered porch, the bait tips out and then it’s useless. I’ve tried them in different spots around the yard and house with different stinky bait, but so far I’ve caught 4 flies - not impressive. I was hoping for some relief from the flies this summer with these traps, but I think I’m back to the drawing board.

The BEST.
These are honestly the best fly traps ever. I may have already written a review with Mt first order last summer, but it's worth reviewing again because I'm using them this year too. Barely have a bait them. I put a little piece of frozen burger in each one and within 1 day had a dozen in each. Once you get a few flies, you don't really have to bait anymore because flies are attracted to other flies. This thing fills up within a month, maybe less! We have 6 hens and it keeps the chicken area free of flies.
