If you have a double coated dog that you can’t get normal shock collars to work on, get this system! It works great. You can get longer prongs to get through all that hair, so they actually make contact. As you can see, this is an add on. We got a second dog that is just as barky as the first, and we needed a good way for correction. The nice thing is, with the add on, they send you a coupler, so you can use your original charger to charge both collars. Your original remote controls both collars too. You just have to make sure you switch the button on it to the collar of the dog you want to shock. Just be aware that this listing is for the add on only. It does not include the remote or actual charger. If this is your first purchase, get the full set. If you want the longer prongs, you will need to get them off the company website. I believe they are $8. I am currently using these collars on a Sheltie and a mini Aussie. The Sheltie’s collar has the long prongs, the mini Aussie is only a year and a half old, and her coat hasn’t come in fully yet, so she is on the regular prongs. Every once in a while we put it on our mini English Bulldog if he gets too crazy about something. That is pretty rare, though. These things work miracles and do it from a long way off. We got a second dog and she's about as goofy as a mutt can be so we got a second collar. The programming is simple enough, just touch the magnet to the collar with the switch in the desired place then press the vibrate button. And battery life is 2-3 days depending on use. You would think the dogs would come to hate them but they actually get excited to put them on, must be a mutt thing. And just like the one that came with the controller, this thing will lay you out flat on the floor with a jolt that a wall plug would envy.
