A: Yes perfect

A: no it is a 12 cup maker

**Q: Would this fit a dc59tb ?**
A: I'm not sure. It fit min but I'm not sure of the number on mine.

**Q: would it replace dc312t ?**
A: i would get the carafe that fits that exact model number. I wouldn't chance it. The carafe bottom fits into the burner like a puzzle piece. Even my exact replacement doesn't fit perfectly until the weight of the coffee forces it to seat down into the burner.
