It literally took me about 5 hrs. Once I got started, I basically had. O choice but to finish despite my frustration because the weather was threatening rain. That said, the final product is beautiful. My only other complaint is that one of the legs wouldn't go all the way up into the corner joint like it should have, sonthe screws couldn't be put in there. (Yes, I did it right). I live in South Florida miles from the ocean so salt water is not the issue, it's rain. I painted all posts inside and out with rustoleum before assembly and used silicone in all bolts and openings. The biggest problem area is the top trim moulding at each post, it acts like a cup and when it rains it fills with water and does not drain. Water and metal = RUST. I had not painted it because i thought there would be weep holes but the water just sits there. After 4 months it is full of rust and I have since sanded it and painted the inside with rustoleum. I should probably drill a small hole at the bottom of each molding. I also had to sand and paint about six random areas where I found rust, it's been 4 months since install.I have sandy soil so I set the bottom plates with 2 inch galvanized bolts in concrete blocks with cement, then buried and poured cement around the blocks and covered with dirt once everything was setup and level. Next time I would go aluminum, this one is thin sheet metal and will not last without deligent maintenance.
