This product is called MetriCide 28, which comes already pre-activated (no activator is required). A separate activator bottle is required (and included) with MetriCide 14. MetriCide 28 and MetriCide 14 are two different products. Apparently they didn't bother to pay attention to this simple distinction. **Q: Has anyone used this as a co2 boster for a planted aquarium ?** A: Yes, I am currently (Mar 2016) using a bottle of this as a cheaper version of Seachem's Excel. It's a more concentrated form of glutaraldehyde, so it theoretically takes less in your tank. It seems to be working OK. The plants are alive, but certainly don't grow like they might with a real CO2 system. I have had no negative results from using this product for my 7 medium light planted tanks. **Q: Can this be used as a cold sterile for dental offices?** A: Yes I would think so.
