Review: These Silicone Hot Handle Holders perform well on cast iron handles, which get really hot - These were a good buy. The handles easily slipped onto both our smaller cast iron and ceramic cast iron fry pan handles as well as the larger cast iron fry pan handle. They provide a snug fit, which helps when handling a hot, heavy piece of cookware. Cloth pot holders may slip and cause a loss of grip which can result in a nasty burn. They can also catch fire if left too close to the burner, especially on the smaller fry pans. One caveat: these hot handle holders do transfer some heat during prolonged cook times, but it did not result in any discomfort or cause me to release the handle because of excessive heat. Good product so far.
