It took her a day or so to take to it, but now she goes and nibbles whenever she feels like it. The grass starts to grow within 24 hours and if you start a new one before they've finished the old - you can take the old one and water it more and it will start to regrow. I let my cat chew it about halfway down and then I put it on a shelf (with plenty of sunlight) and I drizzle some water on it occasionally while she mows her new bowl. The picture is her first bowl from 7/16 that I took and kept watering, and her new bowl from 7/22 she's been working on.The only complaint I had was user error. My first bowl I over-watered it and didn't have it in a sunny enough place. So even though it was growing, the soil got moldy.
