I would suggest to Not use alot of detergent and no fabric softner. That being said I have never actually put ours in a washing machine, so I am not positive on this.. We have washed ours with a low power power washer and it was just fine after. **Q: Weight limit?how much weight will it hold?** A: I’m 120 pounds and it hold me up as well as my husband who is 160 pounds. **Q: Are the package dims 20x20x20 accurate? Would it fit in suitcase if unopened for travel?** A: Our box was very large I don’t think would fit in a suitcase but you could transfer to a smaller box or bag and then should fit in large suitcase **Q: How much bigger is this than alligator? Buying for a 4 yo, too big?** A: It’s about the same length as alligator but fatter (maybe 2-3 times as fat). It should be fine for a 4 year old.
