Defective? Or is there a mystery trick to get it to suction?** A: Practice with an empty container. The button on top has to be out when you put the lid on. The lid should fit down a bit into the container. Then push in the button. If the container is filled all the way to the top the lid wont drop down enough and you cant set the seal. The pictures show this, too. **Q: Do these come with lids or did just one person not get a lid?** A: I got one of the OXO Steel POP containers. And mine had a working and well-fitting lid. **Q: Our dogs got a hold of the lid after we washed our unit, would it be possible to purchase a replacement lid?** A: No. Do not see the availability of a replacement lid.
