I also love the ability to mark your cuts. It took me a while to figure it out but once I did it's easy. It also goes in and out very easy and when you lock it stays locked. This measuring tape is worth the money. I'm thinking of getting one for my son. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love the concept but needs a few improvements! *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on 26 May 2017* I love the concept but I have a few suggestions for some improvements that would make it the ideal quick measure for me. #1 the plastic housing seems durable but I'm not sure if it will withstand the bangs and drops on the construction site. #2 the locking mechanism doesn't work too well for me. It would seem to be more practical if I could pull out the tape and it would automatically lock/stay in place so I could have make the mark easier. Then I can push/hold the released button to allow it to roll back up. Having to make sure that you locked it on the correct measurement is a hassle, especially when you have to be right over the the tape and not allow your big thumb to block your view while trying to lock it. Or better yet, have some sort of quick lock/hold that down while you mark, and when you release it's free to move.
