Some hot sauces are all heat, with minimal flavor, covering up whatever they are put on. This condiment adds some "zip" yet still lets the food come through. Have ordered this product several times in the last six months or so, we use it a lot when we make Chinese pearl meatballs, rice noodles, and with most Chinese foods. It is salty though so a little can go a long way if you don't like salt.

I like this chili paste, though perhaps leans a bit on the salty side. I'm used to something a little spicier and oilier. It's also a little chunky (little bean globs) so if you're looking for a smooth paste this might not be right. But the taste was good!
