Works like any other electoral appliance. These things are great. I use them at work to clip surgical patients, then bought one for my home use. They last for many years **Q: how close is the shave? i will be having surgery and need to save the area and cannot use a "regular" razor for fear of infection to the area.** A: Technically, to prevent infection, your surgeon should shave you on the operating table.
