They are fairly stiff cables and the outside jacket rubbing against your clothes or when moving your head transmits so much loud cable noise that it truly ruins these. It's not a minor issue - even trying to sit still or keep the cable away it's impossible not to hear the loud noise and especially if you have a good seal using IEM's like the UE Triple Fi 10 Pros.Of five pair I ordered these were the least impressive in build quality.
