## Description

Featuring Eureka's most durable fabrics and framework, the versatile Northern Breeze Screen House offers refuge from the sun, bugs, and rain. The Northern Breeze is sized to fit a picnic table inside or beneath the built-in wind/rain curtains, which double as awnings when extra space is needed. Stay safely out of bug range, while enjoying a cross draft behind the 50D polyester no-see-um mesh walls. The Eureka hub, shock-corded 7/8- to 1-inch-diameter aluminum poles, and sturdy ring/pin assembly make setup fast and easy. Two full-length doors zip completely open and out of the way for easy entry and exit. Measures 12 feet by 12 feet [floor] and 8 feet, 5 inches tall at peak; packs to 12.5 by 42 inches; minimum weight of 25 pounds. Eureka found its humble beginnings in 1895 and today their camping gear gives you the freedom to have fun - from tents to cooking systems, and sleeping bags to camp furniture - reliable, easy-to-use, and packed with features campers care about.

Review: The best screenhouse. - This screen house is the center of my big camp. I upgraded to this one after struggling in the rain with another, lesser quality screen house. The Northern Breeze is worth the extra cost. The walls/awnings provide shelter from the rain as well as additional privacy. It can be a little difficult for one person to assemble, but I've managed. It is very well designed. I've spent many hours in bad weather inside this and it is so nice to be able to reconfigure the awnings and walls. During extended rain, it is more comfortable and far less claustrophobic to set up an awning rather than keep all 4 walls down. However, If you set up the awning as pictured, it will pool with rain water. The water slopes back toward the tent and doesn't drain until it is really full... then it will dump. For better rain shedding, I only use two poles and set them with a long pole on the end, a short pole in the middle and only a guy line to stretch out the corner. This provides a proper slope and the rain drains to one side. A single set of awning poles (1 long & 2 short) is included, but you can order more directly from Eureka. Get at least one more long pole. I've been really happy with this and all of my Eureka tents. Happy Camping!
Review: A wonderful Beast - We have used this for several years now, and we love it. It has held up though several fierce storms. (Like when the rangers came into the campground and told us all to get out). Kept us safe from the bugs of Northern Michigan. Many a lovely evening looking out over the lake in bug-free splendor. Sturdy, functional, and it does what it is supposed to. A warning, however: this thing is a BEAST. It's heavy, and takes two people to set up. Once you take it down, it's hard to get clean and dry for storage. We find it is more than worth the effort. If you keep the front fly up on poles during rain, the water pools on top. We have not been able to find a good way to alleviate that. We tend to close the front when it rains. And stay inside snug and dry.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I set up without using the floor?**
A: Yes you can. When we set it up over a stationary picnic table like you would find in a National Forest campground we usually tuck the floor so that we only use half of it. Sometimes we don' use the floor at all. It snaps to the sides at the floor level so you can snap just the ones you want. We think the tent would be great even if you could not afford, or have room to carry, the floor. I do think that it is a boon when you are camping where there is rain or continuously wet ground. There is something very nice about stepping on a dry floor. You can change your wet boots without having to do the hopping around keep your foot off the wet floor dance.

**Q: What is the size of the house when packed in its storage bag? ie, for transport or storage?**
A: There are actually 2 bags; one for the tent material and one for the poles and stakes. Combined they may be approx 18" diameter by 3'

**Q: is it waterproffed**
A: Very! I have had this tent aggressive rain multiple times and it has never leaked at the seems. I do not know exactly what waterproofing is on the material, but it totally works well.

**Q: Would a 6 ft person have to bend over to get through the opening?**
A: Yes, but you'll never find a better shelter than this one. Lots of room and options for changing weather/bug conditions. Walls up or down, screen doors up or down and up to 4 awnings (comes with one set of poles). We've had ours since last summer and we love it!

### ⭐⭐ Avoid - too hard
*by M***E on October 14, 2015*

First of all. The 12x12 is huge. The pack is a bit heavy and it's about the size of one of those large army duffel bags. 3.5 to 4 feet long maybe. It is just too cumbersome to put this up. You do it once and then remember how much time it took and never do it again. Nothing is really waterproof. Just opening this huge mass of blue and trying to lay it out, find the corners....ugh. I'd rather put up the tent and my REI shelter and be enjoying nature, not getting frustrated over this mess.
