Best Purchase Yet! You must get one! *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 1, 2015* PROS: I was unaware or just missed part of the description that said the kit came with a carrying case, so I was pleasantly surprised.The actual gun and compressor are awesome! So EASY to clean. The compressor does make some sound but it is not bad as it could be.The make up is gluten free, free of preservatives and bad ingredients, and more natural than other brands listed on Amazon. The color is fairly adjustable to skin tone. I am very fair with a mix of pink and gold undertones. I also acne prone partially from a suspected allergy to heavy metals. This makes buying foundation difficult. I have yet to figure out my formula but its been fun so far. Even though its not the perfect shade yet its still pretty close. It blends perfectly. It blends so well I have to check to make sure my cup isn't out of foundation. The BEST part is the make up offers NO irritation which normally happens all the time with other non airbrush foundations, even Bare Minerals!THIS IS A MATTE FINISH MAKEUP (Although a con for me, it could be a pro for someone else)Cons:My friend has Luminess Air, not sure which model but her compressor was little more quite. With that said, I still don't think it's its a big deal or a deal breaker. The case is pretty big about the size of a medium box express at ups, I think it could be smaller. Again, not a deal breaker and I'm happy to have a case at all. The make up doesn't last all day, it will melt off weird if it isn't sealed/set properly but I'm experimenting with a few things to get it to stay ( see recommendations section of this review). The makeup by itself is a bit more spendy than I like. I hope it becomes a little more affordable in the future.Tru Airbrush has more products on their website than on Amazon which is sad because I really like idea of Amazon's Smile. I hope they add more products to Amazon.Recommendations:USE a moisturizer and/or primer because this is a mineral makeup so it can be a little dry.USE a setting spray or powder! I use Urban Decays All Nighter Spray. Love that stuff. Helps extend the wear a few hours. But Tru sells there own setting spray for half the cost so I may be trying it in the near future. I think they should include it in the kit because of the way it melts off during the day, so the customer gets a complete experience with the product.I also used Bare Minerals Illuminating mineral veil to balance out the matte finish. This coupled with the the UD spray extends it even longer then UD spray alone.In summary:I FULLY RECOMMEND THIS KIT. Although there is a few cons the pro's make this kit worth it. This kit is affordable, cute, and easy to use! I will be honest – at first, there was a learning curve. But, after several attempts, I now have a great routine and truly love how great my skin looks after using it. The most challenging part was learning the pressure to use on the trigger. Once you figure that part out, the application itself is super fast and easy! You can apply your foundation and blush in a very short time, making my morning routine that much bearable. There are a few things I have learned – 1: make sure you prime and moisturize. I found that the makeup went on even better and had a nicer base when I did this. It still looks great without but for longevity and the overall comfort of wear, the right base helped me immensely. 2: clean the wand after every use! I tried to be lazy a few times and leave it for the next day. You spend more time trying to get it back to 100% if you let the foundation dry rather than do a quick little clean right then and there. Trust me – it doesn’t take long! 3: people really think it’s natural. I just recently had a baby and I was not loving the idea of adding time to my routine. BUT, I was also tired of looking tired and worn down all of the time. This makeup allows me to have flawless looking skin without even appearing that I am wearing anything. If you are looking for a great product, I highly recommend! Take some time and figure out how it works best for you.Of note, I did have to reach out to the seller because I thought one of the colors was too yellow for me (I am very pale.) Even Amazon's price for the Luminesse was a little more than I wanted to spend. I decided on the  TRU Airbrush Makeup Kit-Mineral and Water Based (Light/Medium)  because the price was affordable, it had great reviews, and it comes with 3 mineral-based shades to mix and match (some other brands come with up to 15 colors for eyes, cheeks, face, etc).So it was delivered about 40 minutes ago, and have already used it and I LOVE THE RESULTS! It was very easy to set up and use (and easy to clean afterwards). The colors are perfect, the coverage with 6-8 drops was perfect. The time it took to apply was quicker and less messy than using foundation and a blender. I cannot believe how smooth and flawless my skin looks. That being said, I do not look like a porcelain doll, which was my initial reservation in even trying an airbrush system. I still wanted to see SOME skin texture, of course, because when one is 46 yrs old, one cannot look like a porcelain doll. The best difference I have noticed, compared to traditional foundation, is the way the makeup sits on top of my lines and diffuses them. No cakey look whatsoever. My dark circles and spots are covered, and for once, my face looks even-toned.If there was a single thing to complain about (it's not even a fault of the TRU system itself), it's just that any peach-fuzzy hairs on the side of my face were covered with the fine mist, and therefore more obvious. No biggie, I just lightly smoothed them down with a clean powder brush. Not a deal-breaker at all. For the price I paid, this was an amazing deal, and even more amazing results.
